A few weeks ago I got an email from this company I never heard of before, offering me the chance to preview one of their newest products. After a few emails between us I was finally convinced to check out their product. The company is Team Baby Entertainment and their product is a new DVD entitled “NASCAR Baby” which is narrated by Jay Leno.

This DVD combines two of my great loves; NASCAR and learning. NASCAR Baby introduces your toddler to numbers, letters, shapes, and colours using a variety of live and animated images with original ‘catchy’ music.
One learning technique that I noticed that was used in the DVD was repetition.
“The deepest “aha’s” spring from an encounter and then a return. Repeating the encounter fuses it into one’s awareness. One of the biggest mistakes a teacher can make is to forego the return or repetition. The learning process is one of slow engagement with ideas; gradually the engagement builds to a critical mass when the student actually acquires the idea. Repetition matters because it can hasten and deepen the engagement process.” - Robert F Bruner author of “Repetition is the First Principle of All Learning” (August 17, 2001).
The DVD is approximately 30 min long and according to most pediatric experts toddlers should watch no more than 20 - 30 min a day of television, so this NASCAR Baby DVD fits well into that category.

NASCAR Baby offers parents an opportunity to share their love of NASCAR Racing with their toddler in an unique, educational way.

Team Baby also uses such stars, athletes, and coaches as Mark Cuban, George Steinbrenner, Ben Affleck, Pat Riley, Regis Philbin, Jay Leno, and Matthew McConaughey to narrate some of their other fan specific products.
