Time is a limiting factor, so I must make this a quick one.

Yesterday’s Nationwide race turned out to be a pretty one after all the crashes at the beginning were over with that is.

I feel bad for Brad Keselowski who along with Carl Edwards were eliminated by Mark Martin’s bumper on his way to victory.

The two cars knocked out by Martin also had close ties to him; Carl Edwards is Martin’s former Roush Fenway Racing teammate, and Brad Keselowski was Martin’s teammate-for-a-day at JR Motorsports.

Martin isn’t known as a ‘dirty’ driver and the results of what he did to Cousin Carl certainly wasn’t intended, and what happened to Brad really wasn’t indended.

I guess it was Martin’s position as an elder statesmen in the sport, and his reputation as a clean driver that stopped Cousin Carl from going ‘Waterboy’ on him.

I want to throw this out there, just to stir the pot a bit. What if what Martin did to Carl was intentional with Brad being a victim of circumstance? Could Mark be giving Carl a bit of payback for what he did to Kenseth during a post race interview at the end of last year where Carl threatened to pound the crap out of Kenseth? After all Kenseth and Martin were teammates for a very long time.

Personally, I don’t think so - but Mark is a smart man and having the reputation like he has allows him the chance to do things like this every once in a while with out anyone saying anything to the contrary and he probably knows it.
